Brick Pavers on Driveways will give a upscale look to your house. It will not only give you a nicer look but will add value to your home.   Driveways are done with thick pavers. Installing thick pavers on driveways is considered the correct way to pave an area that will withstand vehicular traffic.  It does not matter if it is an existing concrete or asphalt driveway. The process will require us to add excarvation of your existing concrete or asphalt drive to the process. Another option is to lay 1" pavers on top of your existing concrete. However we do not recommend it. We purchase these pavers from a manufacturer who actually warrantees their 1" pavers on top of residential driveways for a period of ten years.  The catch, however, is that they state a 2% cracking margin is acceptable and not covered under warranty.  In other words, if you have a 1000 sq. ft. driveway and we install 4x8 brick on top, 90 individual pavers can crack before the manufacturer will consider it a warranty issue.  It has been our experience that the majority of the cracking, if any, occurs within the first 90 days and it typically only approaches 1% of the overall paver field.  This option should be considered a cost alternative to 2 3/8, thick pavers.  You save money and time by not having to excavate your existing surface, usually $1 per square foot, we do not have to deliver tons of base and sand, and the overall prep work is less.  These cost savings can range anywhere from $500 to $2500, depending on the size of the driveway.
